My Life Thus Far

Same-Old, Same-Old

Nothing much new to write about, really. Just more of the
same-old, same-old. But, since you're here, you might as
well read up on my day:

Waking up next to Snookums is such a pleasure. My nights
are much more peaceful knowing he's there next to me. Even
though I woke up at 11:53pm last night (something reminded
me to pay the car insurance and my student loan online,
which were both due by midnight and I'd forgotten them. So
unlike me), I still managed to get back to sleep easily
and woke up feeling pretty good this morning.

Work was good. The time is really feeling more productive
now that I'm DOING productive things. I've been working as
the hygiene assistant the past couple of days, which is
fast-paced and energizing. So, the time just flew by. I
left an hour early today so I could stop at the lab (to
have blood and urine tests done) before I saw the doctor.

My appointment wasn't very informative or necessary as far
as I could tell. Basically, we just sat and talked. She
doesn't think that the urethral stones are actually
stones, just crystals and since I drink so much fluids per
day, she believes that they'll be able to pass on their
own when they're ready to. No pain to me. That's good.
They hadn't been giving me any trouble anyway, so it's
nice to know I don't have another illness to deal with. I
knew uping my fluid consumption was a good idea. After my
ultrasound on Tuesday, if there indeed are stones in my
gallbladder (which she strongly believes there are) I'll
be referred to a surgeon and that'll get the ball rolling
with that. In the meantime, she gave me more Vicodin and
more of the big G-word pills to tide me over. Hopefully
I'll only have maybe another week or two to deal with the
pain before it gets resolved. The bladder infection seems
to have taken care of itself, so this just leaves the
gallbladder to deal with. Good. One illness at a time,
please.

I'm going to go now and have a cup of soup and some tea.
My Vicodin is wearing off, so I'll have to take another of
those. Ciao and goodnight!
