Vicodin On The Job?

To add insult to injury, my period started today. I didn't
even feel it coming. No cramps, bloating, backache (aside
from the symptomatic backache) none of the usual PMS.
Thank you magical happy pain pill! The wonderful thing
about this pill is, I don't have any of the side effects
Vicodin is suppose to cause, which is good, since it's
keeping me out of pain so well. I feel bad for Snookums.
He'll be home Tuesday night and he's so horny, he asks me
every e-mail if my period has started yet. It hadn't up
until today. He already said if it did come, he was
breaking his own rule and hittin' it anyway. That's
desperation. He HATES bloody sex. I'm not so crazy about
it, either. But, I'll do it for him. ONCE. Then he'll have
to wait it out like he always does.

Today was yet another day devoted to getting feeling
better, but I didn't need another full day of rest. I had
to try seriously hard to keep myself relaxed and not strap
the baby to my back and go for a trip to the park or
SOMETHING, ANYTHING. I think I only needed 36 hours of
rest, not 48. This afternoon I was antsy and not so
interested in resting. Maybe it was because I took a nap
(so not like me). Or maybe the simple act of relieving
chronic discomfort was enough to return my strength.

I'm still debating over whether it's a good idea to take
Vicodin tomorrow while I'm at work. My conscience is
telling me I shouldn't, but my logical mind is telling me
it's okay. I've taken 4 pills over the past 2 days with no
adverse side effects. Wouldn't it be better to take the
pill and work productively, or not take the pill and risk
being distracted by pain? Such an ethical dilema, let me
thing about it........ I'm taking the pill.

I've got some chores to do before I go to bed, so I'd
better get to them, before it gets late and they don't get
done. Ciao!
