My Life Thus Far
~!~GO SEAHAWKS~!~
If you know anything about me, you know I HATE football
with a capital F. There is nothing I hate more than being
subjected to hours upon hours of the mind-numbing sport.
Wasting perfectly good Sundays watching grown men fight
over a little ball and run up and down a field. It's not
my cup of tea, if you couldn't tell. But, I must say, even
I am proud of my hometown team. The Seahawks won the NFC
Championship tonight and are going to the Superbowl in
Detroit. Snookie couldn't be happier. He's actually going
to let me give him a pedicure and paint his toenails with
clear polish. That's happiness. My husband doesn't let
anything remotely feminine happen to him very easily.
Anyway, I just wanted to extend my feeble sign of
support...GO SEAHAWKS!
So, I'm just starting to get into that book I was telling
you about. Bad Childhood, Good Life. I'm actually
surprised to say that it's making me mad. According to Dr.
Laura, everything I do is a direct response to me being
abused as a child. My depression, my urge to shop, my
manipulation of my husband and other. The list goes on. I
know some of my behaviors are unacceptable, but I don't
honestly think everything I say and do stems back to being
raped as a child. Not everything can be blamed on a bad
childhood. I'm still going to give the rest of the book a
chance. I've heard that you can't change things until you
own up to them and accept them. I still have a lot of
things to own up to.
I had another free day today. This one worse than a few
pancakes. I had 6 pieces of veggie pizza. Yes, I said 6. A
grande total of 1,308 calories. My only saving grace is
that I hardly ate anything else today, so I'm still below
my BMR. I can accept any slip-up as long as it's below
what my body burns at rest. I refuse to put on one single
solitary pound. It just isn't going to happen.
I'm going to go do Snookie's pedicure, then I think I'll
give myself one before Grey's Anatomy comes on. I want to
slip in a little copulation with my husband as well,
seeing as how tonight is his last night home for the next
week. Ciao.
