My Life Thus Far

164 To 161 In One Day

Even though I'm a happily married woman, I can't help but
feel ever so giddy when a handsome man shows me attention.
This morning at the gym I noticed an attractive man
watching me. I've seen him there before, but hadn't paid
him much mind. Even though the gym can be crowded at
times, it's an unspoken rule that you mostly keep to
yourself. Today was different, though. Every time I turned
around, it seemed like he was there. Behind me, next to
me, across the room. To make a long story short, on my way
into the woman's locker room he stopped me at the water
fountain, introduced himself and proceeded to express to
me how beautiful he thought I was and asked me out to
lunch. Well, if he'd have given me a chance to speak I
would have simply told him I was married before he'd
gotten his whole soliloquy out. I didn't really want to,
but I unfortunately did have to break the bad news to him.
The funny thing about the situation was that I actually
felt guilty. Isn't that weird? I felt guilty for being
married and unable to go out on a date with him,
subsequently causing him disappointment. It was a major
confidence booster to be asked out by a man that I would
consider to be quite attractive by anyone's standards.
Snookie is handsome to me, but I don't think he'd be
considered handsome by the mainstream population. He'd
just be ordinary. But I know otherwise. Snookie is
extraordinary and that's why I turn other men down. I've
got all I need in my Snookums. There isn't another man on
this planet that would put up with my crap and still love
me like he does. I'm not even going to dilute myself into
thinking there is.

The rest of my day was inconsequential. I bought Snookums
snacks to keep in his rack on the ship while he's out to
sea. I got Kiki's baby food and bought flax seed, puffed
wheat cereal and couscous at the Organic foods store.
Nothing much else to report. Oh, I am now 161 pounds. I
don't know how I managed to go from 164 to 161 in one day,
but I did. Cool. Ciao until later.
