My Life Thus Far
Stock In Gerber
When I got up this morning, I started planning my day out
in my head: Feed baby, go for a walk, feed baby, clean the
house, feed baby, make dinner, feed baby, go to bed.
Pretty simple, pretty familiar. My day didn't end up
working out that way, but it was a better day than I'd
anticipated. And it wasn't as boring, which is good.
Half an hour after Snookums left to take Annie to school,
he returned. Thanks to the ice on the roads, a car hit a
power line in the middle of nowhere, thus causing half of
Kitsap county to lose power. Because of this, Annie's
daycare wasn't taking children. Snookums brought her home
so I could take her when they opened. This was what threw
off my day. I was a little irritated, because I hadn't
planned on going anywhere today and because Snookums
returned my car to me, I was forced to run errands I'd
previously managed to pawn off on him (I used the "since
you're in the area anyway" argument and the "it'll save
gas" rationale. Worked like a charm, too.)
Let me just say, I LOVE the new automated package mailer
at the post office. I needed to mail a teeny-tiny little
package to an online friend, but it was hardly worth
standing in line for an hour. With this new machine, I
didn't have to stand in line at all! All I had to do was
set my package on the scale, answer a few questions, swipe
my credit card and I was on my way. It was great!
The other errand I needed to attend to was a baby food
run. I should buy stock in Gerber the way Kiki goes
through baby food now. I spent about $40 on a week's worth
of food. It may not sound like much, but when you consider
one jar is only 32 cents, it's a lot. I did get her some
juice, oatmeal and teething biscuits, too (which cost more
than 32 cents) so I guess it was more like $35 on jars of
food and another $5 for the other items, but why am I
analzying this? Like anyone cares.....Ciao.
