My Life Thus Far

Think Of A Catchy Title

Today was slightly more like normal then the past 2 weeks
have been, but not totally routine. I didn't realized how
tired I was until the distraction of distant family was
gone and I'd been left to come down from the "excitement"
(if that's what you'd call a visit from your mother-in-
law). I've wanted a nap all week, but haven't had a chance
to take one.

This morning, Snookums went on base to get his hair cut
(because it must be military-issue by Monday morning,
0700. Liberty is up and it's back to work for him) and to
pick Kiki up some baby food (that girl is tearing through
the Gerber section like there's no tomorrow). I'd just
finished changing a poopy diaper when the phone rang. It
was Amanda (long time, no see, but I was fine with that).
I guess all of her friends were busy, so I was her last
resort. As I mentioned above. I'm tired and the last think
I felt like doing was dragging my happy ass to Tacoma or
Seattle or whatever other place she goes, because
Bremerton is too boring. So, I offered to have her come
here. An hour later, the 3 of us were pouring over the
damn puzzle. 1 hour and 45 minutes after that, it was
done. Amanda decided it was time for her to go at that
point, which was fine with me. Amanda didn't really want
to come here today. It was more of a goodwill mission, so
she could keep me in the hopper just in case no one was
around for her amusement again. I don't have anything in
common with the girl. I don't really connect with her. Why
can't she see that? I applaude her effort at trying to
befriend me, but it isn't going to work. I'm highly
selective in who I bestow my energies upon and she ain't
one of the lucky ones.

I'm so exhausted. I'm hoping tomorrow really will be a
normal day. I'll get back out for my walk (or jog,
depending on my mood) I'll get the nap in I've been
wanting to take for days and I'll enjoy the last day
Snookums is home before he has to go back to work. I'd
better get to bed now or he'll fall asleep without me.
Ciao.
