My Life Thus Far
My SECOND EVER Glass of Wine With Lunch, This Time
Well, it wasn't actually a full glass. It was about 2 sips
of a sample of the featured wine at Olive Garden. This one
was worse than nail polish remover. More like paint
thinner. It was some kind of red wine, which tasted
horrid. Snookums wanted to take Helena (his step-mother)
there to indulge in the pumpkin cheesecake we had last
night. I had the same thing I had last night, only minus
the appetizer and soup. It was just as good today as it
was yesterday and I was still only able to eat half.
This entry will be the cliff notes of my day, because I'm
exhausted from a long day of shopping and I don't have the
energy to be long-winded. I already told you about lunch,
which was the first note-worthy part of my day. After
lunch, Helena headed to Seattle to visit with an old
friend of her's (we'll all meet up in Neskowin on Monday).
Snookums, Annie, Kiki and I headed out to do some much
needed shopping for our trip. Our first stop was Toys R
Us. We stocked up on Kiki's baby food and juice, got her
one of those baby gyms you lay the baby on and they bat at
stuff overhead, new onesies in 12 month size, a new Snugli
(front carrier, she outgrew her old one) and Annie got an
Aquadoodle (she can draw pictures on this pad without
using markers, only water). After that we went to Old Navy
to get me some clothes that actually fit. A pair of tan
corduroys, basic boot-cut khakis and a pair of those new
boycut jeans (all misses sized 14, instead of plus size 16
almost 18! Not quite 12, they were a tad too tight, but
I'm so close!) Snookie also picked me out a couple really
cute sweaters and fleece tops in jewel tones that go so
well with my golden complexion. Snookie got a pair of
fleece slippers and Kiki and Annie made out like
princesses yesterday, so I don't feel bad. I just got back
from Wal-mart where I picked up some basics for Kiki.
Diapers, formula, baby wipes and bibsters (disposable
bibs). I couldn't resist getting a couple things for
myself (new pajamas and 2 new bras). I also got Snookie 2
new pairs of pajamas and a box of condoms. $300 later, I'm
exhausted. I guess that was still long-winded, but it was
also a lot of shopping.
I'm so going to bed now. I've got to get up and take the
car for it's oil change tomorrow. I still have to wash
clothes, pack and get the house cleaned up. I'm going to
have a l--o--n--g day tomorrow. I'll be so glad when this
vacation is over and behind me. Ciao.
