Halloween Sucks :(

We just got back from trick-or-treating and Annie got a
butt-load of candy. Butt-load being a very scientific term
for "more candy than one 6 year old needs". Since I was a
small child, Halloween has always meant gorging on as much
candy as you possibly could before you either A)Threw up B)
Pass out from sugar overdose or C) Your parents develop a
conscience and take away your candy before A or B can
happen. I'm proud to say I didn't let Annie hurt herself.
She only got 1 piece of candy when she got home and she'll
be allowed 3 pieces of it per day until it's gone. I think
that's a semi-responsible way to handle the excess that is
Halloween. I believe this holiday sucks in general,
because it encompasses the very thing I want, but can't
have. CHOCOLATE. I've been doing so well (41 pounds in 10
weeks is pretty good, I think) I don't want all of my
progress to go down the toilet over one little holiday. I
think Thanksgiving and Christmas will be much easier to
handle. Hopefully.

My thigh muscles are on fire!!! The 100 walk/jog was a
fabulous idea at the time, but my poor muscles are paying
the price for it today. I took the day off exercise wise
and just did some heavy-duty housework (sweeping, mopping,
dusting, vacuuming, laundry, windows). I'll consider
walking around the block, trick-or-treat supervising as
exercise, too. I'm going to go. Snookums has offered to
massage my thighs in a completely non-sexual way. That's
going to feel sooooo good. Ciao.
