My Life Thus Far

I Changed My Mind

I'm not ready. What else can I say? I tried, it didn't
work, and now I'm back at it. Breastfeeding that is. Kiki
didn't seem to care that all of her milk happened to be
formula today, but I did. IT FELT SO WRONG! I felt like I
was doing her such a major diservice by denying her
something that nature intended for her to have. And I'm so
lucky to have an abundant supply. Lately it hasn't been
100% of her daily milk supply, but a good majority of it.
I decided on a compromise. I'll feed her from a bottle,
pump enough milk to make her cereal and she'll be getting
the best of both worlds. The convienience of the bottle
(others can feed her) and the benefits of breastmilk in
her cereal 3 times a day (about 8 oz). When I'll implement
this plan, I don't know. But it sounds good.

We didn't do much today. We spent most of the morning
procrastinating, then once we got up, got dressed, and got
everyone out of the house, it was almost 2:30pm. We only
went grocery shopping, but it took us 2 hours because the
commissary was packed full of people. I'm not sure why.
You'd have thought it was payday or something. Usually if
you go to the commissary on a non-payday-day, you can get
in and out fairly quickly, but that wasn't the case today.
I think Columbus Day might have something to do with it.
We got enough food to last us at least 2 weeks, so I won't
have to go back any time soon. I usually go to Albertson's
if I want anything in between commissary visits.

I'm going to go for now. I need to put Kiki to bed. She's
sitting in my lap right now and she's just fallen asleep
with her head on the desk. I know that can't be
comfortable. Ciao.
