My Life Thus Far
Surprisingly Smooth
This morning went surprisingly smooth. Smoother than I
expected it to. It's been awhile since I've taken Annie to
school. I thought having an expected time of arrival would
make things more hectic, but it ended up being fine. I got
her to daycare with enough time to play before her bus got
there. I know it seems silly to have her in daycare when
I'm sitting at home, but if I take her out she'll have to
go on a 6 month waiting list to get back in when I'm ready
to work again. Kiki is on the list right now, so I'm home
until she gets a spot, which is just as well. I want to be
home with her right now. Annie uses daycare more as a
playgroup before and after school, now that she's a big
girl going to school all day :)
Last night without Snookums was different than a duty
night. Duty nights I have the consolation of knowing that
he's coming home the next day. I don't have that, now. So
I slept a bit fitfully at first, but eventually I slept
okay. I made the mistake of watching the movie Pearl
Harbor on tv before I went to bed. BIG mistake when your
husband is in the middle of the water on a military
vessel. All I could think about was how those sailors must
have felt. Especially the ones trapped inside the Arizona
while it was sinking. Knowing they were going to die. It
disturbed me. Which probably explains why I had trouble
sleeping, duh.
