My Life Thus Far
Magnificent Morning
I woke, this morning, to the sun filtering through the
curtains, shining on the bed and Snookums' arms wrapped
around my waist (which is getting smaller!) and it was
such a magnificent feeling. Kiki was sleeping soundly,
Annie was already dressed for school, watching cartoons.
Her room was clean, her teeth brushed. It was like waking
up in a fantasy world, where everything went my way and
there were no disasters waiting for me to fix. It was
great! So, I had a lovely start to my day. I'm not crazy
enough to expect this every morning, but one smooth day a
year is a nice treat!
I'm intensely irritated by my shoes and the insoles I've
put in the shoes. Yesterday's walks were irritating to my
poor battle scarred feet. The insoles protect the balls of
my feet from the old blisters, but now it's just causing
irritation to different regions of my feet. Now I've got
blisters on the sides of my pinky toes. I'm not going to
win with these shoes, so I'm going to surrender and get a
new pair. I just don't know when. The mall isn't in our
back yard, and I let Snookums take my car during the week,
because I don't like Annie sitting in the front seat of
his pick-up truck. So, the weekend is when we make family
excursions to far off places. I'll just have to make do
until then. We are, however, going to get the treadmill
TODAY!! I'm excited, because I'll be able to get exercise,
at home, with the girls and I don't have to watch the
weather report like it's prime time television anymore!
Can you use a treadmill barefoot? Probably not. It would
be comfortable, though! Ciao for now.
