My Life Thus Far
No Strength To Entertain
Amanda just left, so the household is back to normal. We
ended up just having dinner and watching comedy central.
It's nice having someone to hang out with, but anything
outside of the norm tires me out. I don't have the
strength to entertain. I've been kind of tired all day,
though. So, maybe it's me finally reaching the end of my
energy. I don't think I ate enough today. For breakfast I
had a bowl of oatmeal and a glass of milk. I had no mid-
morning snack, no lunch, half a yogurt before dinner and
then a conservative portion of lasagna and a little salad.
I was trying hard not to over-eat at dinner because I
didn't eat much all day. I didn't mean to eat so little, I
just got busy and missed my snack and lunch. By the time I
got home, it was too late to make them up. Now, it's into
the 3 hours before bedtime, so I'll have to do right by my
body tomorrow. Speaking of lasagna, Snookums and Amanda
liked my lasagna, even with all the healthy changes I made
to it. Whole grain pasta, turkey and reduced fat cheese
aren't bad when you put them all together with the right
spices. It was different from my usual lasagna, but if
making it this way means I can have it once in awhile,
then I'll sacrifice.
There isn't much to say about today. Snookums and I (and
Kiki) went grocery shopping and got lots of wonderful,
healthy foods to eat. I've got tons of variety now, which
is great, because you are more likely to stick with a
lifestyle if you don't get bored with it. Snookums is
joining the bandwagon, so it's easier on me, I don't have
the bad temptations hanging around anymore. Annie has
always been my healthy eater, she loves vegetables, nuts,
fruits and all kinds of things most children won't touch.
Her favorite vegetable is the brussel sprout, top that.
She gets that from me, I love vegetables, too.
I washed the sheets and mattress cover after my menstrual
mishap last night. I love the sheets on our bed and even
though I have others, these are my favorite. They are an
opulent 450 thread count, egyptian cotton, gingham weave,
in a calm, cool shade of pale green (our comforter is by
Nautica and it's called The Bahamas, so our entire room
follows that theme). I always feel like we're in a hotel
in the Bahamas when I lay in bed. I had to make sure my
favorite sheets didn't get stained. They are too expensive
to indulge in all the time. The rest of our sheets are
only 250 thread count and after I got these sheets, I
don't even use the others anymore. How did I get on a
tangent about my bedsheets? I digress.
Honestly, there isn't much else to say. Unless you'd like
me to go on a tangent about my bath towels (nothing
interesting to say there, so I'll close for the night).
I'm so sleepy, I can barely keep my eyelids open. Ciao.
