My Life Thus Far

What Was I Thinking?

What the hell was I thinking? Lately I've been completely
out of wack without my regular walks. So, this evening I
felt that my feet had healed sufficiently enough that I
could venture out for a brisk stroll. Well, that was a
dumb idea. At first my feet felt fine, but around the 2nd
mile or so, I could feel the twinges of pain returning.
Not only did I aggravate the blisters I already had, I
created a couple of new ones. Now I'm really sad :( I've
grow to love my walks. They give me a chance to clear my
head, to think about things, a chance to get out of the
house for a bit. I love Pilates, but for a completely
different reason other than aerobic workout and alone time.
Snookums said next week he'll get me some new walking
shoes. We've already planned to get a treadmill, tennis
rackets, a jogging stroller, and a host of other exercise
equipment. Next week is our fun paycheck. The 1st of the
month all of our bills get paid, but on the 15th, we only
have insurance for the car and truck ($71, Geico rocks)
and Annie's day care ($160 per month, military day care
rocks). So, that leaves us with almost 2 grand to put a
bit away and play with as we wish. I'm thinking of getting
some free weights, too. So I can work the jigglies under
my arms :)

Well, I'm cutting this entry short. I really have nothing
else to talk about other than the sad condition of my feet
and who wants to read about that? Oprah is coming on in 15
minutes. She's in Mississippi tonight. Last night Snookums
and I watched together and we had our first serious
conversation about world events, the first in almost a
year. I can't remember the last time. Snookums isn't one
for stimulating conversation, so it was nice. Oprah makes
people think and face emotions they don't really want to
sometimes. Snookums has been avoiding the news lately and
from talking to him last night I found out it's because
he's disgusted with how incompetent our government has
been in dealing with the crisis on the gulfcoast. That's
how he feels and he's entitled to that. I'm really going
now. Ciao.
